AMBA Refresher Day

We are delighted to be speaking at the AMBA Refresher Day in Edinburgh next Wednesday 10th June.

Participants at the event will be mainly Alumni members and non members of the Association of MBAs with the aim of the day being to 'go back to school' - bringing delegates up-to-speed with new topics being covered by MBA programmes in today's fast moving business environment. Not surprisingly the topic for our session is 'Digital Darwinism and Digital Dinosaurs'.  It will be interesting to see how many of the audience, having graduated three or more years ago, see themselves as being 'Future Digital Leaders'.

Will You Become Obsolete?

Next week, in Abu Dhabi, we will be launching our new ‘Digital Leaders’ elective class on the Strathclyde Business School MBA programme. A key focus of the class is Digital Darwinism defined by Brian Solis as a position where technology and society evolve faster than our ability to adapt. There are already a large number of organisations who have become, or are becoming, digital dinosaurs due to their failure to adapt fast enough.

Digital Leaders Urgently Required

More evidence of the need for Digital Business Leaders has emerged from a recent Forrester Research Report ‘The State of Digital Business in 2014’. While 74 percent of the business executives surveyed claimed to have a strategy for dealing with digital disruption, only 15 percent believed their company had the capability to execute the strategy.
